Meet the Hosacks
We, Lauren & Steven Hosack, are the current directors at the House of Hope in Puerto Lempira, Honduras. We oversee day-to-day operations at the house, which includes discipline, tutoring, and structure. Most of all, we show the children the love of Christ. While we do not know God's ultimate plan, we are preparing to spend the next 15-20 years serving & loving the children at the House of Hope.
The House of Hope is home to 35-45 children at any one time. This includes partially disabled, abused, neglected, and/or malnourished children. They come to the House needing a safe place to sleep, a hot meal to eat, and a mentor to guide them. The School of Hope sits on an adjacent property and teaches up to 120 students daily, including many that are too poor to attend class in town. Send Hope also offers a program for malnourished children. Their families can come to the House of Hope to pickup baby formula and/or Kids Against Hunger rice to take home with them. This allows the malnourished child to eat a fortified meal containing all vital vitamins and minerals while remaining at home with their loving families.
We arrived at the House of Hope in September 2015 to begin our work. We ask for your prayers and support as we continue this journey in our lives.
